CBT
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a form of therapy that helps people become aware of and change negative thinking patterns. CBT therapy says that our thoughts affect our emotions which then affect our behaviors. By identifying the cognitive distortions in our thoughts we are able to change our behavior patterns and essentially how we feel.
CBT treatment will provide clients with an awareness of their ability to change the way they feel by taking responsibility for their thoughts in every experience. CBT therapists provide reflective feedback, integrative exercises, and homework which give clients an opportunity to take back control of their emotions and their lives.
