DBT

DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) is a type of cognitive-behavioral therapy that provides clients with the ability to manage difficult emotions, refrain from self-injurious behavior and decrease conflict in relationships. The focus of treatment is in the areas of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. It teaches clients how to be present in the moment, tolerate difficult emotions, manage and change intense feelings and communicate effectively in relationships. It is  and evidence based practice shown to have great results with borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, substance abuse and more.
