EFT

EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) is a humanistic approach to psychotherapy. It is a short-term therapy that aims to aid in improving relationships and bonding adult relationships. It is based on the Attachment Theory which dives into the significance of emotional bonds in long-term relationships. It is mainly used to treat couples and can also be practiced with an individual approach.

The main goal is to reframe and expand the couple's and each individual’s emotional responses. It focuses on creating healthy patterns through de-escalation, restructuring, and consolidation. People who benefit from EFT are couples dealing with conflict, tension, and unhealthy communication in the relationship. It also helps individuals who want to improve relationships and better manage emotions.
