IFS

IFS (Internal Family Systems) is an integrative, evidence-based approach that aims to understand an individual in relation to the sub-personalities of their mind. This theory believes that at each level of consciousness the mind has different parts and personalities with individual needs and functions. It teaches the client to utilize effective strategies and techniques when navigating their inner world.

The approach attempts to get to know each individual personality and part better for the purpose of healing. By learning more about these parts and how they each function the client will be better able to identify conflict, manage stress, and achieve overall well-being. This approach is best used for families, couples, or individuals and in the areas of depression, anxiety, phobia, and panic.
