ACT

ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) is a behavioral therapy that aims to create psychological flexibility through mindfulness and self-acceptance. It teaches the client strategies to live in ways congruent with their personal values and needs. Clients learn to steer away from avoidance and escapism and how to accept the deeper feelings hiding at their core. They learn to accept these feelings as appropriate responses to their situation and commit to making positive changes in their life. It is best to treat stress, anxiety, social anxiety, depression, OCD, and psychosis.
